momo wheel peeps

right got my momo fitted to my cup, excellent feel and in the 320mm size :approve:

now when i ordered my boss i got the one with the airbag resistor plug (to turn off the dash lights), but in the kit there is just one resistor, and also shown in the instructions.... but my car has TWO airbag connections

so do i need another resistor of the same value to plug into the other airbag plug, or 2 resistors half the value momo gave me?? (depending on how the airbag circuit is wired in either serise or parallel??!!

I'm looking into it got a bit of a problem wit having documents ar the wrong issue.
From what ic an tell try two resisters of between 1.8 and 6 ohms (best try 2 at 4ohms)

why don't momo just supply 2?!

right sorted! just got 2 4ohm resistors from maplins for 18p!, stuck them in the connectors, job done!

i got the boss from demon tweeks, but been waiting for it for NINE weeks (problems with momo themselves) it did have a resistor with the kit, but only one for some reason?!

Demon Tweeks seem poor at the moment with delivery stuff and garanteed deadlines.
I suspect one reason there only one resister is some old wiring airbag diagrams only show one airbag sensor so maybe the phase 1's only had one stage airbags? I'll look into it was to busy at work to look.

Demon Tweeks seem poor at the moment with delivery stuff and guaranteed deadlines.

Agreed, i ordered some harnesses a while back, was told they'd be here pronto...

One turned up, so drove with no passenger seatbelt for a while, rang to ask where second one was, as was told it was in the post. Was then told upwards of two weeks for it to get to them as they werent even in stock! Had to cancel order in the end.

yeah, abit fiddly but not too bad. also has two wires plugged top and botom of the airbag unit, and a red and black for the horn. Remember to disconnect the battery first.

steering wheel is held on by a torx bolt, undo this, but not fully, as you need to give the wheel a good YANK (lol) off the hub which can be tight. If you undo the bolt fully, you'll end up with the wheel in your face lol

Just 1 thing do you have to put resisters in the circuit or can you leave them out ?......leaving the airbag light on?

will this affect the other airbags at all causing them not to go off .etc

Airbags will go off still. with the light on.

Finall getting mine fit tomoz now....just 1 last thing may be a dumb question but do you know the resisters do you just get the ends of the resister and just shove em in the plug for the airbag on top and bottom wires?

pretty much yeah, i taped mine down, back on themselves so they won't dislodge

just had mine fitted today and ive left the resisters out which as left the airbag on but now the service lights on and the abs lights ?

Is this normal with me leaving the resister out?

ABS shouldn't be on you've most likly knocked the stearing wheel angle sensor.

Serv light is on since the ABS system has detectd a fault due to the stearing wheel sensor being off.
