monaco side badges

anybody got any ideas as to which anthracite i should go for to paint the badges as the letters will be goin monaco blue! pictures would inded help!

Rover Stone Grey is a Close match to Anthracite Wheels and your lettering should show up fine, I'm just Laqcuering mine with Arctic Lettering now

I'll go take a Pic now with 1 layer of Clear Coat and then take some more later whne they are finished

thats the dogs! i jut went and exchanged my pugeot graphit greay for rover stone grey....bingo! shall have to wait for the badges now!

34 for both inc vat. my old ones are on ebay whihc will be taken off the car when ive finished mine!

wee question, what did you rub them down with and did you prime them or just spray over the rubbed paint cause my painter friend told me its fine as they already been painted! and how did you get the numbers so neat ?

i hope mine turn out that well lol, sprayed a bit of the rover stuff, it looks a fairly good match!

I would struggle with the lettering,what type of brush/item do people use to do the letters?

Just sprayed lacquer onto them today.

first pic is numbers just painted on,

This is them sanded with wet n dry 1200,

and finally lacquer, not as glossy as the finish acheived by clio-coby but im happy enough. maybe they will need flatted down but well see when they dry properly!

Did you have to key them (sand them down) for the primer to stick ?

And how many coats of primer etc did you use ?
