What is the difference betwenn a TFT montior and a LCD monitor or are they the same thing?? Ive got a 7.2" widescreen monitor i want to put in my car but not that happy with how good the picture quality is. It could be the dvd player that makes it have a sh*t picture though i spose if its a cheapy/nasty one.

Anyone help me out here??

LCD = Liquid crystal Display

TFT = is jus a different type of LCD

TFT stands for thin film transistor and is better than just an LCD screen.

TFT allows for smaller/lighter more reliable screens, better clarity etc.

Dont laugh but i brought it off Ebay in january and aint got round to fitting it! basically coz i need a Headunit that has external (audio) inputs and me mate was sposed to give me his but been f**king me around! Cant afford to splash out on new one at mo!

Got the DVD player and 7.2 inch screen for bout 300 quid (came from america so had to pay bit of importtax)

not to sure if i wanna sell the TV yet. il keep u posted though. its unsed though apart from once when i connected it all up in car to see what pic quality was like. Its a roof mounted one too, not motorised though.

well ive just been on ebay and theres a motorised one on there for 80 quid, and its a better make/quality i think. theres some bargains on there at the mo and there better than the one i got.

If i did sell it though id sell both DVD player and TV coz there a matching set. £270

Well im having bit of trouble deciding how to attach it to the roof, the valver has a big step ware the sunroof is and it look sh*t when its up as theres a gap. Ive got the dvd player in my car, but i want a headunit with external inputs so i can run the sound through it as the screen dont have a speaker built in. Dont want to run the sound just through my amp either. Toooo much bass!! not enuff treble!
