More TomTom Questions

My Mrs has just bought a tomtom one, but has the following questions:

1 - Someone on here mentionned about the speed camera's being free at the minute, is there anywhere you can register for this?

2 - Are there any online insruction manuals as she hasn't got anything in the box apparently (bought new on-line).

3 - It came with a free trial of the traffic update thingy, however has to be connected to a phone. If you sign up for this, does it do it via satalite, or does it need to be connected to a phone? She doesn't have bluetooth.

Any links to sites about the above information, or anything relevent to idiots (me more than her) using sat nav - neither of us have used it before, lol.

the speed cameras are on the front of the box,yellow leaflet with a promo code on it,some places still have stock left of the tom tom 1 without speed cameras so you may have got that,if you contact tom tom and show them a proof of purchase they SHOULD sort you out with a promo code

instructions are in the box on a cd rom and in the book,if it didnt come with it it werent a brand new one

the traffic iirc on a tom tom 1 must be done via bluetooth

you pay a yearly subscription,iirc it just uses the connection for a signal so it can know where it is

I did the speed cam thing on mine and it doesn't do anything, waste of time.

It connects to a server and downloads the latest traffic info to your TomTom. Same can be done with SpeedCameras or you can just download the latest cameras using the TomTom software that came with it and upload it via USB to TomTom.

Have you actually tested it near a speed camera? It beeps and flashes up the speed limit and highlights where the speed camera is on the map. You can even see what side of the road it's on.

So you got annoyed that no speed cameras were showing up without even testing it near a speed camera? :S
Maybe it's because I've just got back from 10 hours at work and fkin tired but this sounds a little silly
That's like going on holiday to Africa and being upset that you saw no penguins on safari.

EDIT: Just re-read what you said and have interpreted it differently to the first time
Thought you said you didn't do anything so was annoyed. Now I realise you meant TomTom didn't do anything ^^
