Morette Headlights.

  306 GTI-6
I have recently bought a set of morette headlights. But they are currently in red and my car is blue! There are a couple of slight scratches that are going to need some attention aswell, I was thinking that I would just rub them down using wet and dry back to plastic then giving them to a bodyshop to paint. Do you think this is the best plan or is there some kind of magical paint stripper out there to save on the rubbing down?!
Also does anyone know the paint code for a 1995 valver in Monaco Blue?
Thanks
Martin

you can sand them down to the plastic but theres probably not much point. if the paint on them is actual 'bodyshop' paint and not aerosol then they should be able to reprimer it, which is mask any imperfections when wet sanded. best bet would be to run it down your local bodyshop and get a few quotes
