Morning start up

Does anybody experience weird goings on when you start up and drive in the morning??

It is almost as if I have left the speed limiter on, only for about the first mile until she has warmed up! I don't go above 3000rpm until it has warmed up but it speeds up and slows down by itself ever so slightly! Anyone got the same problem?

Very well documented cold-start problem mate. Have a search in the forum. Its very very common.

Its the worst cold start problem I have ever come across!!!

It protects your engine from damage!

Also helps with emissions testing too

Thats fair enough but when you nearly get rear ended by a 7 1/2 ton lorry in the process it slightly pisses you off!!!!

It should only do it for around a minute to be fair.

If it's taking at least a mile to clear then you may have a problem.

mine is exactly like it to, its worse than my old 02 172 i owned

Leave it running for 2 mins in the morning, that cures it.
