most cost affective mods mph>££

Car  CLIO PH1 172
being a student i never have any money and was just thinking whats the most cost affective mods/ cheap mods that with give more bhp:cool:

obviusly stripping the rear out is the best as this cost nothing (and could maybe make a few qid if you sell it all )

but what else can be done cheaply/nothing or gives best gains for the money??

cheers ;)

For a start get the car properly serviced as this'll make the car feel as it should and then a decent panel filter, exhaust and re-map will give you a bit more power.

Be aware you won't get much more power though regardless of what BS you get told so maybe just get the car setup properly and do an airfield day to hone your skills.

:)

cheers iv currently got a rbracing cone filter (came with the car) would i be better with the standerd set up and a decent panel filter

btw my cars a ph1 172

Cheers matt i will reply to ur pm soon and iv all ready been dribbling and dreamin over ther website at what I want to do next!! And the only the other side of london iirc

What decat pipes are people running and what seems to work the best/recomended?

Again thanks guys

Where abouts are you from mate?

There's quite a few lads around here with nicely modded 172's in terms of power and handling, smitchell and giraffe come to mind.

dartford, well just next to bluewater tbh
i see ur from sidcup not to far we should have a meet soon i think thers a fair few from round here as u say!

I wouldn't call them cost effective as they provide very little gain. Rolling Road results have also proved that cars with a different map can be lower than ones without. Your not going to get much out of the Clio without spending at least £1000 on cams TBH

sorry for sounding dumb im not 100% sure what uprated cams give?? if thers an easy way of explaining it would be appresiated? :/

danny love ur ph1 btw
