MOT fail on front brakes :(

  Peddled device
Not happy ! The car stops like l've thrown an anchor out of the back and yet l'm told 'excessive wear on discs and 50% wear on pads' Not been to collect yet so any advice welcome.

If l feel l have to change them then my local supplier list 2000-onwards for RS Clio (are 182 brakes different than a 172?) at £20 pads and £38 discs. Is this a good price or should l upgrade?

Car has only done 24k and was serviced by Birchdown about 1k back with no problems reported.

You can get Maxtorq Group N front brake disks with a high carbon content for only £41.63 so I'd upgrade personally

We can supply Mintex OE spec pads for £26 but we can also supply the Mintex M1144 or Carbone Lorraine RC5 pads if you want to upgrade these too..
