MOT Failure Question

Got my lil mk1 Project thats on a 93 plate so it has to have a cat. (bare shell atm )

If i get a 90 donnar car. and change all the vin plates / number plates / chassis numbers..

so making the 93 a 90 so it doesnt need a cat for its mot.

or is this just completely illegal :)

or does the emissions go off with engine the car has ECT Ect ??

that's called ringing. illegal. 93 is a crossover year for cat/non cat. Have a word with the MOT place and see if you need one or not

Just take it to someone who will do a bent mot :)

I know a garage that uses a Ford KA's emissions for the test :D

why dont' you just put all the bits from the newer car into the older car and use that ? leaving the vin number alone
