MOT soon.

Dunno about common fails but have read a few threads on here about the new rules that i think are in now e.g. if you have xenons and have deleted the washers they will fail you (not seen anyone reporting to say its happened to them mind). CV boots tend to let me down but then that's probably not peculiar to clios.

cv gaitors, brakes, bearings, balljoints are what i would check are correct before going in, but remember an MOT is used to tell you what is wrong.

Haha. I haven't got round to it.And I can't find tools big enough!

OH RLY? ;)

Common things...

Rear number plate lights

hazzard switch not working

worn ball joints (seem to be common'ish)

If you have the rear seats out the belts must be removed... its ALL or nothing with removing items from an MOT point of view.

I have no screen washer system.. Its being fixed on the morning of the MOT. Decided to get the same guys to do the MOT.. Hopefully there gonna be ok... The last MOT didn't even have any advisories so I don't see why it won't pass.. Just getting nervous !

Don't even get a certificate anymore. Just an A4 printed notice confirming your car passed and the details were entered on the database.

I was in a garage the other day and they handed some guy this new MOT cert and he was like what the f**k is this!??!?!?!?!?? LOL
