MP needed for prints?

I have a 5Mp camera which im taking on hold tomora, but to get the most pics out of it what can i set the MP to? is 2MP enough to make print in the shop? or should it be higher?

2mp should be fine for a 4x6 print

mo worries mate, if in doubt get more memory and stick the res up

taken loads of pics in 1.2MP mode and they printed well on 6x4...
