MP3/CD Head Unit Help

Want a cheap MP3/Cd head unit that will work with the 2002 clio remote control. Any ideas????

Also can any units work with the clock/temp display screen??

Not sure about the remote but all head units i have seen and mine still keep the clock and temp.

I think i heard that alpine and kenwood made compatible units on the forum.

Mt clock and temperature have always been displayed since i fitted mine too! Does anyone know if this expensive autoleads cable makes the RDS show up again on the display, as well as giving steering controls?

The alpine box i have means the stearing wheel remote still works but on the screen you only get the temperature and time. Not realy a problem as the HU screen is much better. I think the alpine box is about £60

Sony dont have an adapter I have found to my cost so that ideas out the window...

I have a Kenwood m9021 and the adapter is £30, ordering mine next weekend

kenwood or sony easy options,

leads typically between £32 an £40, got to be from certain modles upwards, sony (dont quote me on this) CDX-600C and definatley from the Kenwood KDC-6021,

also you will loose your display unless u wish to have your trousers pulled down for another lead.

also if the lead goes to he head up display its a dash off job ( dont worry not to hard)

any other qs?

you dont have to go dash-off route ne more. the lead Im ordering connects to the existing connector at the head unit end, thats why Ive held off for so long, didnt want to create more squeaks and rattles!

where are you ordering you cables from im looking at changing my 1.6 Dyn+ HU but dont wanna loose the HUD or steering remote.
