mpg on a mk1 1.9D

Hello

What is the mpg on the 1.9D engine as parkers have it at 51mpg where the 1.2 is 47. Would the 1.9 be better for motorway driving also would the MPG be better because i will be mainly on motorways?

Diesal will be better on the m/way, will take more abuse as well......
