yeah, its a s**t engine!
LOL! true though we was in England a while back as my brothers car was getting some stuff done. They gave us a shot of a 1.2 clio. OMG it was slow and worse on fuel then my 172!

Yes its uk miles, to the guy going on about uk/us??? Coz miles is the same anywhere in the world but surely if ur on about km's then it'll kpg u need to work out. Do a search on here or google to work out your mpg/kpg as you'll find you'll get the same readings as every1.
US and UK gallons are different.
indeed I was talking about gallons not milesOops my bad
Well I just did the 65mph test and reset and after 20 mins of cruise control at 65 I averaged 41mpg on crap fuel so seems ok.
Just seems odd that even driving like a granny I'm averaging 26.
was the wind blowing when you had the test? this can be a major factor
Combined. I havent seen it go over 30 in a long time. I dont rag it either.
65 is a good price.. I'll be paying around 100 here
maybe. wanna hear other thoughts on this. can't make an idea from 2 opposing sources
Actually from the Willenhall area buddy im always around Tettenhall/Chapel ash usually. Where did you get your sensor mate? If imon the look out for one then that price is a bargin!
Thanks.
EDIT: Ebay.
I found a bosch lambda on ebay, 60 quid plus 30 for transport. will ask renault for their price and if the diff is noticeable I'll take a chance on ebay

^get to 65 first, then reset and leave it for 10min, if should be over 40mpg
Yeah easy peasy. I was going to do a guide for here but forgot... basically.
22mm spanner and a strong arm cause the old one is usually a b**ch to get off.
Car on jack stands or ramps.
In the center of the car just before the cat you'll see the sensor sticking into the exhaust.
Loosen sensor.
Tthe wire clips onto the subrame in a little metal thing, undo that (its obvious when you're looking at it) and then undo the connector (fiddly).
Unscrew old sensor.
The new sensor should have copper slip on it already, if not, put some on.
Screw in and tighten up.
Connect it back up (fiddly as hell cause you can't get both hands on it when using ramps & lying on the floor)
Clip it back onto the subframe.
Mine was f**ked and causing really bad idle issues, misfires and popping. 15 mins later.... perfect smooth idle back again.
Edit: There is something that the RTE that did my diagnostics said to do after which I never did: "Get the parameters reset" or something like that. Fred etc, what is that and is it important?
