Mpg

in a small engined car, keeping it below 2000 revs... 47mpg isnt special tbh.

i've driven 800 miles this weekend in my 172 and averaged 44mpg @ 80mph with Optimax :)

oh, and i can do about 30 miles with the petrol light on. thats with a 50 litre tank, dont know if the Mk1s have the same size tanks?

  Oyster Card
Cheers I think they have slightly smaller tanks.
And all the miles have been short trips and all around towns like London, Wimbledon etc.. hopefully going to get to test it's MPG on fast moving roads next month when I'm doing a 438 mile round trip to Torquay (Sp?) and back on the same day.

On a trip from Torbay (I'm in Paignton which is next to Torquay) to London I averaged 44mpg in the 172, and that was with major stop start on the way up there due to crappy roadworks.
