TT 225
Ok. Spent 3 hours today trying to figure out how im going to go about painting my calipers. Dont laugh just yet. I got all the equipment out ie. Axle stands, jack, socket set, torque screws, paint, brush etc. Gets it up on the axle stands, the wheels off the fronts. I looked round the back of the calipers to see how the pads are fitted in and i see what looks like a alen key large maybe a size 10. EXCEPT, it has 5 sides :S. I tried a size 8 alen key and it just turns inside it and the size 10 doesnt fit what so ever. Besides an alen key or "hexagonal key set" has 6 sides and the one on my caliper has 5. Strange.
so after a cuppa i calls a local garage and explains that im in need of removing the caliper cover to get at the pads.
Helpful man: Whats the car?
Me: 04 clio
Helpful man: Ok what you'll need is an alan key on the 2 bolts at the back of the caliper, remember they will be quite tough to turn.
Me: cheers mate i'll have another go.
Not a chance. Nothing turns the buggar. Im stuck. Am i not seeing something?? Can somebody please help me out!!
Thanks
