wat impicatiuons does a CAT D actually have (or CAT C for that matter?)?
just means that insurance is higher? and sale value is less?

Doesn't affect insurance

Sale value is proportionally less due to natural uncertainty over varing quality of repairs

Cat C needs VIC check on top of repairs
Cat D needs repair only

Yes...as Ive posted in the description of the auction...no Xenons due to the cost of replacing them...Ive been chasing one driver side one since owning the car.

As for the value...I believe its a fair one...plenty of Dynamics and phase 1's up to £4-£5k around...but I stand to be corrected. I spotted 1 52 plate Cup for £4995 locally with 90k miles in a car sales place, but that was it. Checked ebay for completed auctions and there was nothing below £5.5k were the auction had finished above reserve.
