I didn't expect much difference between the 197 and 200 but I was surprised.

Here's my old car.

Why the change mate?

And what are the noticeable differences so far?

I wasn't really looking at changing but sat down and worked out the finances, I couldn't walk away.

I loved my 197 but there's just something about the 200 that makes it a better car. Feels like there's more power at low revs and the exhaust note sounds fruiter also the cup pack adds to the feeling, was a little worried about the cup pack as I had a 172 cup and found it a little too hard for the road.

I'm hoping white is easier than black to keep clean, I'll never have a black car again.

Nice. Quite a few of these popping up around Scotland.

As for keeping white clean - I had a white car and it was a doodle to keep clean. Only annoying thing was the dirt in the door shuts!!! You can always see where you've washed it though without having to wait for it to dry ;)

You not notice the rack? That was the biggest difference over the two imo

Also the slight more grunt low down for me is not the engine, but the gearing........ 1/2/3 are shorter than a 197

Nice did you go down to Ness motors? I live in Inverness not to far from you.

Ness Elgin got a blue 200 through from Inverness but with the snow it wasn't much of a test drive, I was happy with it but wanted the car they had in Perth. After going through the finances they got it delivered to Elgin on condition I was happy after seeing it and the test drive.

That's the second car I've bought from them and will happily go back again.

gaz-kev, I didn't notice the difference with the rack. I just thought it was the cup pack that made it handle better than my 197.

Nice motors. I take it that it is your old 197 sitting in the forecourt of Ness in Elgin? Looks a good example.

I bought my 182 last year from them and they are quite good.

Yep, that's my old 197.

It's a clean example, I bought it with 18,000 mile and it's now at 38,000. I never really thrashed it, that's all out my system now!!

I have had loads of trouble from Ness Motors in Inverness but I remember the Blue 200 in Inverness it was nice but not spec'd to my liking. I have had two car's from them my first Clio was only turning 2 years old and wouldn't start after 6 months of ownership. I had a lot of trouble with the vehicle which was believed to be in a car accident. But my Megane that I exchanged the clio with as only had a few problems I may buy another car from them depending on their deals.

Only reason I went back to them was because it was easier to get rid of my old Clio. It was said that my Clio has been knocked before but I believe a cheap fix was done and then handed to Ness Motors. I then bought the car and had problems with it since the first month of ownership... The list goes on quite a bit but I am now on to my second car and it is also now having problem's and has put me off going back to Ness Motors Inverness. I haven't really said much about the car to them but my front breaks are warped and have been back twice already and they take no head off it to be honest. I may go with another Renault again but with the problems I have had it put’s me off dealing with the trouble.
