My alarm sometimes beeps 3 times after I've locked it?

It doesn't always do it and only started doing it in the last week or so. I thought it was if I hadn't quite shut the door properly but decided it can't be. Any ideas?

Standard renault alarm btw

It beeps three times because you have armed the car too soon after switching the ignition off. The alarm needs a couple of seconds to stop receiving the signal from the ECU.
Take a step or two and then arm the car.

im pretty sure mine does it randomly tho, cuz sumtyms it locks str8 away without fuss but sometimes it beeps when i have walked away and press it. weird.

I've tested this by counting to 10 and then locking it and sometimes it still beeps. So not convinced on the not giving it enough time to arm thing.

Could it be a warning about battery in the fob? I need to be quite close to my car to unlock it compared to my dads 182 so assuming my battery is more run down than his.

I have tried waiting up to thirty seconds and it still does it, don't think it's the battery though, mine has done it from day one and that was pretty much a year ago now.

it usually beeps 3 times to tell you something isnt shut properly , maybe a dodgy shutting sensor or something , make sure all doors are slammed shut or boot is shut properly , my transit used to do it , had a dodgy sensor on the door

if i dont shut something properly it jut screams at me until i open it and shut it properly

on my clifford , its the bonnet sensor on really wet days after motorway driving

I thought 3 beeps meant that the internals sensors were deactivated?
