My B*stard Xenons!

One of the Xenon Bulbs in the headlights, (main beam) seems to be on its way out. It sometimes doesn't work all the time(i have to switch them on and off), and when it does decide to work, it is noticeably dimmer than the other!!


any ideas? could be a dodgy bulb, but there meant to last for ages?

is it the control unit?! pissing me oooof! and i dont really want to mr Renault and the dealers to rub his hands at me!

no, they are actually more like £150.

yes £150........or £50 from me .......it may be the charger pack under the headlamp - get it checked out first.

As Mentioned ^^^ sounds like the charge pack. Cud simply be a dodgy connector or slightly damp.

Check that first before spendign out on a bulb.

I was in my local renault buying a bulb kit and the guy said it was £120 Inc V.A.T for the xenon bulb but they have a life time guarentee. Is this true?

Main beam are not xenon, only the dipped headlights are.

I had a charger pack replaced on my 182, xenon stopped working all done under warranty...
How old is your 172?
would this still be covered under warranty?

Main beam has a halogen lamp
Dipped beam is xenon
Sidelights normal little lamp
