My clio dilemma!!

  An orange one
roughly a year ago i chopped my saxo VTR in for a mint low miler 172 cup, and loved the hell out of it..but was tempted away by a V6 mk1 in october,

now starting to see the combined hassle of fuel/insurance/maintenance/having a car not under warranty and starting to think..hmm..as much as i love the vee would i be wise to chop it in for say..a racing blue full fat 182 and enjoy that FWD handling, free warranty repairs till 2008/9 and waayy lower general running costs..

arrgh! only problem being the finance on the V6, could trade it back, clear the finance and probs not need near as much to get a newish 182..

but i love the vee..just things are bugging me! i know i can afford to run the vee but the cup was such a superb fun car to drive!

If your having doubt's maybe the V6 isnt the car for you. You sounded like you really enjoyed the Cup. Cost's aside do you enjoy the V6 as much?

i love the attention, the experince, the rareness (never seen another vee since they were 1st released)

but maybe this is just the crapness of the winter roads..the cup was a much more relaxed drive! and soo much easier to drive fast..i know the vee is a car that takes learning..but ive just heard to many horror stories im almost scared to try it out on the public road!!

yes..its not a thing that i would rush into selling...still love the vee its the best car ive ever owned..and contrary to belief, built 10x better than the normal clio's...im just toying with the idea...and i saw a racing with stripes the other day...wow..stunning awesome colour!!

Have you been out on track with it? Might be worth doing an airfield day so you can gain some confidence with the handling in a safe environment where there's nothing to hit!

I'm afraid that's the drawback of V6s

I'm an ex Impreza owner so am really loving the cheap running costs and insurance of the 172....it's a lot of car and fun for the money!

How much would you get for the Vee now?

i dont think i would lose anything on the vee to be honest, its a 2001 (51) with only 19000 miles, so average less than 4k per year, and full service history etc..very clean condition inside and out, stainless exhaust and PiperX viper...

i just need to gain confidence..fuel consumption is the main drawback!!
