My Clio Key! :(

Afternoon!!

Was driving my 1.2 Clio (56 plate - MK2 PH2) around at lunch, got back to the office. Locked it OK with the remote key.

Went back to the car park just now and the key wont unlock the car!

Battery Dead?

The little red light doesnt flash!

Also, the button seems to go in a lot further than it used to!

Broken button??

Which battery does this take!?!?! And how do I get it open!?

Tried sliding it, no luck!

definately slides... take it off of any fob first.

got a second key... at home!!

Just managed to slid the damn thing off with a workmates leatherman!

Must pop down to Halfrauds to get a new CR 1220 battery!

Does the fob reset when the battery is removed?

If so, how to I re-program it?

Slightly confusing but hey.

Halfrauds will be expnsive, most jewellers/boots/ebay etc will be cheaper for batteries if you're in no rush (see above confusion).

The switch sounds like it's come loose. If you've opened the key be careful not to loose the micro-switch or it's new key time!
