My Clio rattles - Don't laugh

Okay we all know the French like their cars to rattle to make matters worse I've added a 12" sub to the boot, and the car really does rattle to fcuk on certain bass lines.

Anyone got any tips on what to remove etc..?
The rear wiper is spazzing out with the sub on and doesnt do a lot generally anyway, is it possible to remove the whole unit and it not be a MOT failer?

Theres a few plastic trims around the boot area but sometime is rattling rather badly, there must be somethings I can do to improve it.

It's a Phase 2 Mk1.

I know Vinny sprayed expanding/insulation foam behind some of his trim to stop rattling... could be messy though!

Hmm was hoping for a less extream approach lol.
Any idea what size gromit I'd need for rear wiper removal?

My bootlid was treated with about £20 woth of Dynamatt - no probs

the doors/dash tend to do a bit of "singing to their own tune" :dapprove:

Tell you the truth minus the passenger door, the dash (with nothing in the glove box) and rest of the doors are pretty good.

Don't mention the sunroof though, I spend a good 10 mintues a week re tightening the bolts, I've sliced groves in the head liner for easy access as I was a bit bored of the roof liner slicing me.

Planning on removing the rear wiper tommorow & generally try to stop some of the rattles as when it hits bass notes mostly on drum&bass it's stupid you hear the rattles over the actual music.

Who's Clio does'nt rattle after around the 5K mark?

^ mine never had any rattles at all. Ever and was still rattle free after 16,000 when i got rid of it.

wen i got my sub on all my car rattles but the sound blocks it out unless u put it on and stand outside the car then it sounds like it will fall apart. im not gunna waste my time trying to stop the rattles.

Right little b@stard that rear wiper is, doesn't want to come off. so I've sprayed it with some WD40 and called it some names, hopefully it will decide to come of when I next get the urge to tackle the rattles

i find that 'Opeth-Deliverance' really gets that passenger door card going on the intro, sounds like its just gonna fall off, hehe.

Keep the wiper on - be a right pain if the window was dirty or in rough weather :dapprove:
Tackle the rattles with some dynamatt extreme - worked a treat on my bootlid :approve:

i realised a long time ago its just not worth trying to stop the rattles Just turn it up louder! hehe.
