Ive recently started to modify my clio, its a 1.4 RT. 15" fox 1s have just been put on, with new tyres, and im next looking for a kit to put onto it. The door handles are being colour coded this week, as ive bought a new back bumper, which is getting sprayed, so i thought i might as well do a few alterations to the body work while i had the paint. Anyone got any tips, or seen any nice kits on a 4 door clio? i dont want it to look too over the top, just sleek and noticable, a little spoiler will be nice too. Then my next move is to lower the car, and then tune up the engine.

hehe, Ill post a pic of mine when my next stage of mods is done - hoping its soon now, had things waiting for 3 weeks!

Get it lowered mate, makes such a difference to the look of the car.. I wanna go lower though now, dunno if itll be possible with the new kit Ive got. Well have to see.

I agree with Daz, get it lowered, should be the next thing you do IMO as i like the shape of the car (and the colour). I wouldnt get a bodykit as from all the one ive seen it makes the car look too boxy and dated. Id get a subtle rear spoiler and a laguna splitter. Maybe a valver bonnet? Then leave it!

heh, my next stage of bodymods dont make my car look dated (including a bodykit).. guess it depends on the person :)

Hoping its done soon - waited so long now!

Oh, And Id probably get an alarm before you make it stand out loads. I had a £20 up until Christmas, but with things starting to come together now, decided to get a good one with proximity sensors etc..

Cant be too careful nowadays.

I have to admit, being a poor student, getting it lowerd would be the cheaper option too. Id like to get a front bumper.. Just to make the car look a little more interesting, not too fussed about the back. maybe some skirts. Im getting there.. little by little.

Indeed, im putting money away each week at the moment.. i need to get some kind of decent alarm on it, the only deterent i have at the moment is a stoplock on the steering wheel..

I wouldnt get too a complicated one as they just go off all time! Im sure a local alarm/ice dealer can recommend a good un, then get Supaglass.

It doesnt matter how poor or how good the alarm is, its all down to the installation and installer!

Best to go somewhere which comes recommended! Thats what I did. Went to loads of car forums and checked out what people had to say!
