My Clio.

So nearly 6 years after my first, my second Clio.

Just one picture. Only took it at lunchtime. Proper pics when I've made some changes.

Anyone suggests anthracite or black wheels and I will hunt you down and cover your hair in something that attracts bees.

Fantastic choice. The projectors take hids and look oem. 6000k is ideal!
Planning any mods?

Them wheels are too small for you iirc, you need some 17" rims under there (in white)

;)

needs Turini's, phase 2 rear lights, phase 2 sidestrips blah de blah...

and a set of KTEC coily's to drop it on it's arse ;)

Hids I might do then, Warren. Do they look good or just look like my Nan got me a voucher for Halfords?

Robert.. Details.. It's a Ph1 on less than 50k. And it belongs to me. I'll have to make some changes because driving a completely standard car is boring and I like to pay more for my insurance.

Ph2 rear lights is the first job I think. After that, I'm not sure.

Amie, there's more chance of me having a threesome with Britney and Jessica Alba on the pitch during half time at the superbowl than there is of me doing one of those things you mentioned..

They look very good. Imo, 8k looks a bit too blue (and produces less light). There's a diagram Naith found for re-wiring the for the ph2 lights, it's a 10 min job.
Just don't get a ktec stealth, they don't fit well with a ph1 (it's jacked up as far as it'll go in this pic)

  Whichever has fuel
Id maybe spray the side strips and handles black rather than plastic which is on there now?

Every village has one...

Nice car dan. Its good to see a standard one that hasn't been b*stardised.

(Although if it was mine i'd fit HID's, and ph2 rear lighs and a pipercross panel filter...)

i never imagin'd you to own a ph1 tbh.. im suprised.

all you need is a nice sensible drop (sportlines or something similar).. done, complete, finished!

Nice one mate. About time you got a clio and I'm jealous you got a ph1. I have the ph1 bug at the moment :(

I've spent the last half hour going through the threads, wondering who this new fellow was, turn's out it was just India under a different name! Get a "was" fool!

Daniel, sounds terrible good, for me (and I'm right):

Properly re-trimmed steering wheel, (either that or an aftermarket one if you really want)
Coilovers or Sportlines if you're cheap
HID's
Ph2 bootlid (so much nicer and allows you to have the new RS badge)
Ph2 sidestrips and standard bullets

Maybe a cup spoiler too.

Done

Oh, and did it come from a certain Ed?

There's only one mod (performance/handling wise) that I'd do for a road ph1. Whiteline ARB. More of an improvement than coilovers (bar the expensive brands).

Jodi, they aren't gloss black. Ph1 172's didn't come colour coded.

Wheel isn't tooooo bad. Not proper f**ked like a lot of them. But yeah, a retrim is potential.
Coilovers.
HID's.
Meh. Mebbe.
I kinda like the originality of the standard sides (this opinion is subject to change)

Brian is selling me his cup spoiler for £50.

Nope. Not from Ed.

Someone tell me that I don't have to remove the dash to get my stalk control on my stereo please? :(

When you take the standard stereo out, there's a yellow squareish plug. That's for the controls. You only need to remove the dash if you want stereo info on the clock display. I never bothered, but it's only a 15min job to remove the dash.

Hmmmm. I do want it by the clock. I think. But I know I'll drop/lose screws. Lol.

For the ph2 at least, connects2 do an adaptor that enables the screen and controls on an aftermarket stereo without having to remove the dash, just stows away behind the stereo :)

It's really easy fella. There's bugger all space behind the stereo as well, taking the dash off makes organising them much easier. Get everything on at once. By the time I'd got the stereo, bluetooth handsfree, stereo controls fitted, the dash had been off 4 times iirc.

Different wiring in the ph1's. Might still do one, but not sure. MTAudio supplied mine, very good bloke to deal with too.
