My Key - can u help please

ive got a clio mk2 ph2, and ive got remote central locking on the key. and when i press it, it just doesnt click any more, and the light doesnt flash either, and the renault dealer said its about 200 quid for another 1, but f**k that, can any one help me please in fixing this problem...

Does the red light on the key flash when you press the lock/unlock button? Tried a new battery?

wot he said ^^^^^^^^^^ then i personally would get a cheap alarm fob , disect your original one , put the circuits in and reprogram it to your car , you can get fobs with plain key for about 50 quid if that , programming aint hard either , you follow a set series of instructions turning they key in the ignition and pressing and holding the button , the exact proceedure i do not know
