thanks, have done decat (home made) removed center section box (now st8 thru) and it has a peco powermax exhaust on the end...it also has one of those cheap induction kits that you can buy from halfords for like £20 lol.

^^^ what car have you got now? must say i think my 1.2 sounds better lol not trying to start arguments or trying to be big headed, i only say it because it sounds as if your windows are open and you've tryed to record the sound thru the window, wheres as mines actually inside the car). correct me if im wrong, but im fairly sure thats wind baffle off the microphone...

Get a K&N/itg panel filter if your after power and make a custom air intake, shouldnt cost you too much

^^ can i ask why? its got an induction kit thats 99% the same as the k&n without the brand name stamps! lol. i'll soon be putting 2 cold air feeds direct to the filter from fog light holes, should help a bit...

As long as you keep it as cool as possible it shouldnt be a problem (e.g heatshield of some kind) engine keeps quite warm. I done it to mine to keep the filter as cool as possible as the standard box at he back does the joc well enough
