My new wheels

looks like they're 15's

i like them, and they will obviously have the advantages of being smaller than the "old" ones.

makes a change for someone to buy wheels for function over form, a refreshing change! :)

There 15's as PE2's were £55 each so roughly £20 - £30 cheaper than 16's each and the wheels are Compomotive TH3's which are motorsport wheels so very strong.

Plus of course being 15's they should be a bit lighter too.

:)

PE2's are just about the worst tyre you could use on track.

Even the most gentle of drivers can make them start to self destruct.
F1's take a little more abuse but even then eventually they start to go.

I choose to disagree as I ran them on my Williams and that handled many a trackday on PE2's but eat F1's in 1.

But you can't beat Toyo 888R's or Yokohama A028R's as trackday tyres IMHO.

hmmmm, from a distance they look like them alloy look wheel trims you buy from Halfords :S

But, as they're track wheels, i'd leave the Turinis on when you're using the car on the road ;)

as a track day wheel they 'tick all the boxes' so fair play. I wouldn't run them with them on road myself as i do think the turini's look better, that's just an opinion though.

Just as a matter of interest, what's the ET of these?

There ET 45 so the same as the Turini's.

I'm just running in the PE2's on them and using them as my everyday wheels for a bit as the Turini's are too nice for the weather we've been having.

are they alloy or magnesium? Am I correct in thinking only Speedline do Magnesium alloys if so ignore that question as i've answered it i guess. lol

There alloy with a high magnesium content allegedly plus there very strong and can bun run with flat tyres (useful on the Ring).

I got them for £300 with Yokohama A048R's so I was pretty happy TBH.

:)
