my next clio, cant decide...

looking at getting a clio sport for track days next year and cant decide what to get.

basically i'm looking for one that will spend its life in my garage and only come out for the track, i'm not massively mechanicly minded, although i can do the basic things, so could do with something fairly low maintenence, the funds are almost in place just trying to free up some space in my garage to put it lol

i've seen a clio williams i like, but i read on here they are not as reliable as the mk2 (ph1/ph2) clios

i've also read that clio mk2 ph1's are generally better than the ph2's

but i also really like the idea of a 172 cup

what do you guys recomend is best for me, just looking for cheap thrills really

For cheap thrills it would be the ph1 or the cup.

Hard choice between a ph1 and cup for me, personally id get a cup but im sure others would disagree.

That's what I thought, but read up on here the ph1's were better to drive on track??

Whichever you can pick up cheapest and in best condition IMO, I've got a ph1 and it's never missed a beat on track!

Only advantage the cup has in my IMO is no Abs and no aircon but both can be removed fairly easy. Plus you can sell the leathers from the ph1 for a good price.
