My non-sport dci Mk3

  Renault Clio
Mods so far...

* RS grille
* plain fancy plates
* silver bullets
* stubby ariel
* heko wind deflectors
* de-badged
* silvervisions in rear (i know one is orange lol, just had the back light replaced and they forgot to keep the silver bulb so I picked up two blue ones for the front and haven't got round to changing the back one yet)

eventually I'd like to have it colour coded too.

I was annoyed with the garage too because I'd only just recieved my plain stick on number plates before the crash, and they've drilled two screws into the back one lol, so now I'm going to have to buy another one. I know that's me being picky but it's all in the detail!

and finally, these will be going on Saturday, just need to get some bolts for the centre caps, paint the rusty callipers black and fetch some tires :)

Yeah know what u mean mate, you could probably get away with lowering springs just to close that arch gap up which wont cost a bomb but yeah coilovers arent cheap (plus if u go quite low it starts getting slightly impractical).....i got beached on a speed bump the other day :'(

No way mate! Much damage? I met TomGarvie yesterday, he came to look at my wheels because he wants them as a spare set, and he had to park round the corner from my mates because he wouldn't have been able to get on the curb outside her house lol, I couldn't be doing with that! How much are the lowering springs mate?

If you want some cheap lowering springs i got some which are now not in use as i got coil overs, ill sell em for half the retail, only did 1k on them too.

/where did you get them oem alloys from bud? good price too?

nice looking dci mate.

  Superleggera'd MK3
Haha no kidding, he mentioned to me last night about looking at some mahonia wheels. Off round his tomorrow for a detailing sesh before CSS. Nah no damage that i could see but it is a constant challenge mate, think my front might even be lower than toms, it can be a nightmare. Umm depends on which size and brand u want to go for. Can pick them up for £100 iirc mate

Think it was called Renault Specialist or something like that, £408! And that was without the centre caps! Thanks for the comment :)

Thinking about spraying the diamonds but can't decide on a colour, I want to do the wheel diamonds too, opinions? Don't know whether to just go black all round, or like a darkish grey??

Black diamonds all the way mate, go stealth! or graphite grey:)

P.s. Drop me your number over a PM bud?

  Superleggera'd MK3
Umm if you are gonna keep the wheels silver i would probs either do the diamonds black or a nicer shade of silver. The chrome is horrible but a nice matte silver will look better

how come you didn't do your front and back diamond? :p only asking cause im unsure about doing mine, had it done before and everyone kept saying it looked like it had been robbed!

Speedbumps is no excuse for not lowering a car! I have 2 on the road outside my house and mine is wound right down on coilovers, no problem! Haha get it slammed mate :) looks good

Very nice... Im looking to find them second hand but in Ireland they are very hard to find i'll probably have to get them new which i suppose might be good really. How much did they set you back? (if you dont mind me asking)

they are hard to find mate! £408 for the wheels, £64 for the centre caps and about £320 for the tyres... bit of a piss take really lol

  Renault Clio MK4 RS
Nah, deadly serious, couldn't find them any cheaper, and woud rather have them brand new instead of being in used condition.

:| You could of bought them second hand and had them refurbed to be like new with brand new tyres on for probably half that!

+100000

I've got a set which I don't want to sell but if I was offered the right money I'd sell... Lets just say you wouldn't have to offer me £700 for tyres and alloys. Then refurb at £25 each.

  Superleggera'd MK3
I paid nearly half of that for my superleggeras with pirelli p zeros on and they were spotless......renault robbing people again lol

I don't really like grids, and it's just my opinion but don't think turinis suit the mk3, and I couldn't find a second hand set. Also, I had a big win at the casino so its not like it came out of my pocket really :) anyway, here's the results! Really pleased!

Yeah because canastas and grids are identical wheels lol.

Looks good, Get some coilovers on it dude.

Lol I'm in two minds about this, a lot of people are telling me not to because it causes problems, everyone on here says do it!

What are these problems? Not looking like a van? Not licking the window going round corners due to body roll...

Lows > speed bumps!

^ Lol

I was exactly the same about coilovers. I never thought I'd get any of my cars lowered, but I bit the bullet with the Clio and did it. It's much better now for it.

Need to get it setup correctly after (shock height and alignment), but it does make a difference. I didn't go mad personally, only dropped it about 40mm, but it handles really well.
But yeah, just avoid the potholes!

I've got AP coilovers sat waiting to go on, reasonable mix of decent price and from what I've heard awesome quality. Can't wait to get them on.

  Superleggera'd MK3
The AP's are spot on mate, cant fault them, handling is very good. Only thing is, I have gone quite low on them so notice a bit of brake/torque steer but its not really an issue. Just get them bought and close them arches up ;)

£30 road tax?

  Renault Clio
I've ordered a cliosport tax disc holder and some dice dust caps, that's about it really. I really wanna make the car look unique. Any ideas guys?
