its an old mill cool i think, tho non of the original features have been reserved on the inside which i think is a real shame

laura if you go onto the photomatix site....download the free trial.
Import your image as a single jpeg , the effect is not great but you will get an idea.
Secondly as its your work, once you have downloaded the software you can then go out and take 3 or 4 exposures with HDR in mind.
That building would look so good, its exactly the sort of lighting HDR was designed for.

just retake the pic.
remember to dial in +2 and -2 ev steps.
I tend to bracket +1 and +2 above and below what you think to be correct exposure.
leaving you with 5 shots to load into photomatix.

have a look at this site , it is by a guy called Pete Carr - he is a Liverpool based Photographer.
He in my eyes is a HDR Guru, who also provides a very good guide on using HDR and using Photomatix.
