In the 3 years i've been driving i like to think i am doing well now owning a clio 172
the story lol
Passed my test and got on the road with a 1.1 punto sx M reg, loved the car as i was a new driver it was quick enough - then due to my bmx/mountain bike racing i needed a van - with no money i got a green escort van, I then quit racing and decided to get another car.
The first good car i bought was off John tait from the saxo sports club - one of the founders of the club and one of the first VTR cars in the country to have after market alloys - John looked after the car amazingly and it was well known in the club as "the hammy"
I loved this car to bits and it was a bargain off john, the wheels were 206 gti nimrods which DO suite that car !!
After 6 months of owning the car - my girlfriend was being the usual moody person and i couldent stand her moaning so drove home from her house instead of sleeping over (3am)
so any way - was'nt the best hour to drive home, black ice round a mellow bend and into numerous sets of trees.
With no money - writing it off all my fault - 3rd party fire and theft. game over
I sold a few bits off the car and managed to save enough to get yet another french hatch -this time i wanted sumthin with a bit more power.
R reg 106 gti - not the newest car about but it was right for me
I had this car again for about 6 months and then went off the horrible interior, insurence was a little harsh to at 18.
so i got another saxo vtr - saved up for some 206 gti nimrods and had them powder coated black
also amoung loads of other modifications i put on a 266mm front brake setup - Not letting too much away i fitted these with a little bit of maching in college - a few people wanted a set who new me, then a few who did'nt know me, then ALOT from saxo sports.
With college machinery at my disposal a churned out alot of sets, sold them and had enough money for what i bought the other week
just fitted the alloys i bought of Craig at the weekend thisa afternoon, cheers mate, I'm loving them
not quite the sell out biography but i'm board lol
