Well, the other night my speedo stopped working for no reason (thats what I told Renault), Actually I downshifted to 3rd when I was trying to change up to 5th on the motorway.
Dropped the car off this morning at 9am, told them the problem, and the first thing the receptionist asks me is "Is the car under warrenty sir?". This blew me away as I thought I was going to have to fight for a warrenty fix
I asked if there was a driver to take me home again. They said there might be a bit of a wait for the driver to get back, and I was more than than welcome to sit in their lounge and have some coffee.
Just as I was sitting down, one of the salesmen came up to me and asked where I was headed, I told him and he said, no problem, hell get his car and take me himself.
At 2:30pm this afternoon I get a call from the workshop to let me know that my car can be picked up.
At 4:15pm I arrive at the dealers, to pick up the car. Didnt even have to announce myself and the receptionist had already seen me come in, and had all the documents ready for me to sign.
Turns out the Speedo unit in the gearbox had gone (no suprise there) and it had been replaced under warrenty, all I need to do was pay the labour charge, so here Im thinking theyre gonna nail me on this. 6 quid later and Im sorted....hahaha I guess Renault can get it right from time to time.
Next thing that got me...I was under the impression that a towbar couldnt be fitted to a 172...yet outside the dealer, and parked up next to my blue 172 was another blue 172 with a towbar. Oh well, hes the one with a ruined 172, not me
