daz

as above, you can buy one for that kind of money, why repair it ?

hope everyone is ok

most of thats labour, buy parts second hand, give your mechanic friend a drink for fitting it for you and you do it in much much much less than what renault quoted

Try Matt @ specialistrenaultbreakers.co.uk

Should be able to get most things for you. Good luck........

Is the person who crashed it OK? Thats some amount of damage, I wouldnt be keen on getting it fixed up tbh

there is a stacked v6 on ebay for £300.. completely buggerede but i think it has some wheels in tact - unsure whether it is a mk1 or mk2 though...

sorry to hear it...

sorry to hear about that, more to the point what the hell were u thinking letting someone drive ur V6? get him to sort it out!

especially without insurance :o

Jesus, what happened mate?? But seriously, you sure it wasnt £6500 for that rather than £16500? Seems way too much!

16500 just for that?thats a joke,i rolled my car and it cost me 5k to repair.

the rear bumpers & skirts are the VERY expensive bits - just ask James.

£1K per pannel on a Vee6

as above if the driver wasnt injured, get them to pay, then give him/her a slap!!!

Any parts for the V6 are expensive.

Renault thought of a number then multiplied it by 6 for spares. e.g. rear brake pads from renault £200 + vat, Front splitter/rubber bit £130 + vat! How I laughed.

They are probably more expensive than more exotic machines to repair once damaged.

Damn good fun though! If a little slippery in the snow.

Umm I could think of a good plan if I was a car manufacturer. Make a mid engine short wheelbase rear wheel drive car, make it prone to a bit of oversteer then charge a fortune for parts so loads get written off and they sell loads more new ones to replace the written off ones!

his mate may have only had 3rd party insurance?

you know when u can drive another car if you are the main policy holder on one policy, but are only covered 3rd party?

aye yoz....

but 16500 for...

FRONT AND REAR BUMPER COMPLETE

FRONT AND REAR WHEEL ORIGINAL AND TYRES

REAR PASSENGER SUSPENSION STRUT

seems a lil too steep if u ask me! (obviously taking into consideration u gotta pay for painting & fitting etc!)

front and rear bumpers are 297 + vat from renault and the suspension strut is £300 + vat, so the parts are not that expensive. When i hit a kerb a month or so ago it cost just under 2k to repair and the parts included

Front tyre, front bumber, front sub frame, some suspensions bits, arch liners.

I had it all done by a Renault Approved repair centre, so all parts and paint warrenty is still covered by renault.
