N/s driveshaft not sealing with box

irderd a driveshaft to replace my broken 1 in my mk1 1.8 16v but the boot is miss shaped in the box and isn't sealing with the box when I'm tightening the bolts so oil is leaking straight back out.... Any suggestions?

How mis-shaped is it? Put the boot in hot water and reshape it and then it should be sorted
