i have an N95 already, i just wondered about the differences.
the GPS is said to be a LOT better on the 8gb as well as a bigger screen, better colour etc etc
i'll still wait for my iHype though

its not physically the same phone then? (bigger screen etc?) was gonna get one of these but i have and hate the normal n95 so decided against it, thinking it was the same old slow cumbersome bulky s**t but with 8gb internal memory. how u finding the smaller keys? the keys were one of the very few things i liked on original n95, thought the sceen was great on orig. so cant imagine what its like on that one. let us know how u find it. liking the black with silver colouring

its not perfect but considering its capabilities its damn good!
its not as fast as a K800i or similar but its nothing like the same sort of phone. I think the problem is people want speed of a nokia 3210 with the features of a top of the range phone which aint gonna happen

Just updated my 'normal' n95 to the latest firmware.. GPS is now top notch and get full locks on multiple sattelites indoors !! even having it next to the gearstick in the car it works great and never lost the signal once.
Junk the standard maps and get the new one from smart2go !

ROFL what a load of s**t. You heard that from T-Mobile employees because the T-Mobile firmware completely f***s their N95s up. Normal Nokia N95s with proper Nokia firmware are s**t hot tbh. And as someone said, the firmware update has A-GPS meaning the GPS is much stronger and locks on instantly - its brilliant!
The 8GB will own, the only thing I think could be improved on the N95-1 is that it would be nice to have more RAM, and since the 8GB phone has double the RAM its s**t hot!

whats the n95 like? i currently am using my w810i cos the k850 was just not for me, it was far to hard to use. Im thinking about a n95 now, not the black one just the 'normal' one.
Whats it like for texting? i know its a nokia but i had a 6300 not that long ago and i found it quite hard to use compared to the w810i, cos the software seemed to make you take the long way around to just send a text?

i must say this is the best phone ever, i have been watching spider man on the television for last 2hours, just plugged the phone into the tele using the scart cable, everything is quality, some things are a bit slow but overall its truly superb. havent quite figured out how to use everything, any tips or help would be appreciated. thanks

can you buy a 'old n95' buy a bigger mem card and its as easy to watch stuff on as the n95 black?
also can you take off the firmware for t mobile and still use tmobile? (if that makes sence?) and in doing so does it make the phone better? its just ive read on here its slows the phone down?

Ye, v12 is latest and I would highly recommend it.. before the upgrade the GPS/Navigation was a gimmick at best.. now its a really useful tool ! The only problem with the phone that still remains is battery life.. which on a full charge the GPS nav will run down in 1.5-2 hours heh. So buy a car charger for £3 off ebay 
Remember to backup your phone before the upgrade as it will wipe everything !. You can do that in the Nokia data suite software that comes with your phone.
Forget about the people that say its crap but have actually not even used one.. its the best phone i've owned !! Just be aware its a charge daily phone and you will love it !

I too have the N95 8GB and i have to say its one of the best phones i have had! Shame it doesnt have the coolness factor of some of the iPhone features but there is a peice of software being developed, that i saw, which enables u to tilt the phone to navigate menus.

I got mine for freeeeee. 45 Pound Vodafone contract. 750 Mins, Unlimited texts (capped at 3000 a month!!lol), also got there music download thing free (well they give me the money back for it), and Phones 4 U are giving me £50 to reduce my contract to £40 for 9 months. Safe!
Oh and £30 for my nokia N80 too not bad considering i through it on the floor the other day and its fucked!
