Nail In Tyre!

Every time i get one of these and take it to my local tyre place they say it canny be repaired and il need a new tyre... ok fair enough the first couple of times but now iv got another one in there...

how can i personally tell weather it can be repaired or not? if its possible.

Is it in the tread or the sidewall, you wont find a place that will repair a sidewall though

nope on the tread... about 1 or 2 cm away from the sidewall

should be able to repair it a had 2 big ones in each tyre a while ago and the repaired them

Happens to my dad all the time he just goes to national tyres they take it off and patch the hole

They are right then, as it's too close to the sidewall.

THere is a ratio to how close you can go.

I've had two repaired in the last 2 months, the last one was very close.

They used a sort of clear bar chart on the tyre to see how close it could be and it was just in.

Think some can be repaired but i know iv had 2 which couldnt be. Best bet is to buy a new tyre and stop driving over bloody buliding sites.

Its a close call but it down to the tyre company if they willing to take risk of it failing due to their neglegence.
