  Suzuki Ignis Sport
Don't see why u would want to do that. Surely that'll increase ur premium

Okay listen to this...
Got a quote for £2600 with just me on policy TPFT

Add a female driver on provisional license, quote is now £1300..

HUH?

EDIT, just me is £3300!

Add your mum and any female members of your family, aunties/gran.

Will bring your premium down a bit.

And if you can, get Fully Comprehensive.

Yeah I know all that thanks, but was mainly asking about the quote going down so much with just a female provisional holder.

My insurance was cheaper when I was a learner. Mainly down to the fact I had to have someone in the car at all times.

As soon as this said female passes and you inform your insurance, it will go back up. It did with me anyway

Craap, didnt think about that. Need to find someone who is shocking/given up with driving ;)

What would happen if insurance weren't informed off said driver passing, would they investigate in the case of a claim and then void it?

As danny says, you're insuring them because they might drive it one day. Nothing illegal.

I have my dad as a named driver and my brothers wife as a named driver, both saved me about £100 each :) neither will ever touch my car.

I have my mum & dad as named drivers, both retired (reduces premiums) and no claims in the last 5+ years.

I am the main driver so it's all above board and is good to know they can drive it in case of an emergency.
