F1 asymmetric are meant to be good. Can you not get a decent price through work?

I've got Nangkang Ultrasports in 205/40/17 on my Astra Van.

I drive the thing to within an inch of its life everywhere and they are brilliant!

I do drive like a fairy in the rain though so can't really comment about wet performance.

*edit, I would NOT be putting them on already understeery 225hp car!!!

Are Audi wheels really that bad, or do you just have a compulsive urge to change every car you own's wheels ?

Hopefully not Visions ;)

I think Clarkie used to run them on the back of his mk1 vee ?
If they are good on that they ought to be good on other cars too.

Why do people try to save money on tyres :S

It's the only part of the car keeping you in contact with the road!

WTF!

I had them previously and they were ok. Nothing exceptional but they did wear out pretty fast and once they were half worn the traction was poor in the wet!

Nicknamed ditchfinders by everyone I know who's tried them including me..

My friends GT4 had them all round and even with 4wd were shocking especially in the wet!

Don't do it! Afterall those 4 black circles are what keeps you on the road!

Couldn't agree more, tyres are the part on the car you should not scimp on when replacing.

The ones that it comes on are a bit small imo, gone for another set of audi wheels, keeping it oem :D

Agreed. A 172 I was looking at ticked all the boxes apart from the tyres (which were new) were "accelera" who I've never heard of, hence if I bought it, I'd have to spend £250 - £300 just changing the tyres, so I didn't bother with it.

Never had nankangs, I heard they were made by yokohama, but may be a lie.

Cheap tyres are a false economy if you find they're s**t. Stick to the better known brands and you can't go too far wrong.

I've got a full set (ultra sport NS-2) on mine that came with the wheels and they're ok tbh.

I'll replace them with a better brand though when they wear out for piece of mind.
