near miss on the m25 today for me and the clio infront!!

Ok, well what happened today shocked me and nearly made me crap myself.

I was on the A1 in elstree going towards the M25 South Mimms. A standard black Clio with white Lexus lights overtook me. We both joined the m25 going towards potters bar and Enfield. He was in front of me, both of us on the fast lane. Anyway, just passed potters bar junction. Next stop would be Enfield. Anyway. we both were going very quick, suddenly. this white van in the middle lane joins the fast lane, so the clio infront slows down, then it kind of went all wrong from then on. The van man went back in the middle lane. Few meters further, this Clio in front nearly clips the barrier. I was like this clio needs to slow down, before I could say fish and chips. The Clio started swerving left to right, suddenly, he spins out and I suddenly start to swerve from left to right. Lucky for me I kept the wheel straight. The Clio in front then goes from the fast lane across all lanes into a 180degree spin out and it was on the 2 right wheels. the car nearly flipped over. Then worse s**t happened. He was in the reverse direction onto on coming traffic. "Smoke everywhere, luckily the van man dodged him and other cars on the m25. he managed to turn around. Would have been major accident. I slowed down, turned into the hard should to have a breather. He parked up behind me. I got out the car and walked to his car. He was shocked as fcuk. But then so was I. told him to drive slow. then I drove off.

note ppl***

Just be careful when your on the motorway, not worth it at the end of the day. Btw, no injuries or damage. Thank god!!

Btw, this Clio had nasty white Lexus lights. ewwww lol had to mention again. lol

im still in shock.

As you said, sometimes it isn't worth bothering driving fast: a question of right time and right place (private airfields best). Glad you aren't hurt or the car damaged.

hell...sounds quite lucky.....i always stick to around 70 - 80 on the motorway...try and stay out of trouble....sounds scary though

glad your ok mate

sounds like the usual ' young knob in a car story' - not you mate - the other guy.

Did a very similar thing myself 10 years ago - I was the knob driving far too fast in a 365 bhp rear wheel drive car. Thing is i crashed and caused a 5 car pile up. I leart my lesson that night i tell you.

I think pople make the mistake of thinking that because its warm in the car then it must be warm outside and forget how bleedin cold it was when thay first stepped out of the house and therfore dont give the roads the respect they desreve.

Hope this guy is now suitably warned.

Glad you are ok anyway fella

braking and steering at the same time, never smart... i did it just slightly when i overcooked an overtake, the arse was all over the place lol.

u can get a good scare at much lesser speeds, but sounds like a lucky escape. If I'm driving fast I like to be alone and have a clear road

You both have a decent pub story out of it :) Glad to hear no one was hurt.
It highlights that these cars are based on a little A to B shopping car though – they are not really meant to go all that fast.

I hate having those curtosy cars from renault when my cars in... those 1.2's with the electric steering thing, the car is SO twitchy when you get to the higher end speeds... they keep me slow.

Last year on the M1 goging north there was an accident and instead of going into the hard shoulder he parked up in the fast lane. It was about 5am, so dark, it was pi**ing down and I was in the middle of overtaking a large lorry, so lots of spray. Anyway I had to get round him that cause me to spin 360 whilst going round him then crashed into the centre. Then the fcuker got out and said "bad weather init". Upside was I got to get my williams but I did love my fiests si. Its good to know that no one was hurt but there are so many crap drivers on the roads that it is unbelievable.:banghead:
