What is the diameter of the exhaust pipe in a 172 (2002)?

If nobody else confirms, I'll check when i get home tonight, it is about 2" though.. optimum is said to be roughly 2.5" if you're upgrading.

90% sure - that is the tail pipe tho... not the bore of the whole system

externally its measures approx. 57mm
internally it measures approx. 42mm
thats just before the cat, and allow a tolerance of 3-4mm 'cos my hands are shaking with the cold.
