Need a trolley jack!

  Black Gold with cup packs
I have just broken the brilliant Renault contraption!
Anyone reccomend a decent trolley jack that will not bust the bank

You can get one from Machine Mart/ Halfords for about £20 that are 2 tonne and will do a sufficient job, if you only want a cheap one. I've NEVER used the Reno jack, as it's beyond crap!

I only used it as a quicky to check the meat on my Brake pads!
And it let me down. Big time.

Halfords one is fine! Though if your car is really low, you might need to reverse onto a bit of wood to get it under the sill

Yeah I have no intention of ever getting under the car, it's just to jack the car up and take the wheels off!
I am about 20-25mm lower than standard

You took the wheel off with only a Reno jack for comfort?? If so, it's lucky you haven't been maimed!!! Seriously, damage to you or your car isn't worth it- Axle stands are your friend!

ive got a halfords trolley jack and it fits under my cup packed 182 comfortably. Might be a bit of a squeeze if your lowered 20mm.

Could always buy one and try, just return it if it doesnt fit under your sills.

No not you, i mean it might be a struggle to get the jack under the sill to jack it up, it was on my lowered 182.. But i just reversed onto a bit of wood to raise it up a bit

Got a feeling Halfords to a pack with a trolley jack and 2 axle stands for about £20. Well worth the money IMO.
