Need advice on how to remove Silicone!

  Red 1.2 Dynamique
My new front plate arrived today, I took the old one off only to find an unholy amount of Silicone underneath it. I think they had tried to hold the plate on with it at one stage. It's all over the black bumper insert and a bit on the bumper itself. Does anyone have any ideas on how I could remove it? Thanks

I went at it today in the rain with a scraper, got a good lot off but couldn't get it all off. I think I'll have to buy that Bond It Silicone Remover. Thanks for the help everyone.

are you sure its silicone,is it not numberplate pads? try using a hair dryer or heat gun just to warm it up then it should come off

Yeah 100%, I removed all of the old numberplate pads off the back plate with a credit card, relatively easy to do, this is much different and takes the piss to do even with a metal paint scraper. t***s that had it before me made a real mess of it tbh
