Need Advice on what Suspension to get on 182!

  172 Cup
I am going to get a new suspension set up, springs and dampers and was just wondering what it best to go for. In my past cars i have just bought simple springs and if anything hve made handling worse and just looked good!

Because of the famous clio standard set up, chassis-suspension already I am reluctant to mess around with it. So i was just wanting some advice on what will actually be beneficial to my ride and handling!

Cheers Guys

sportlines or pro-lines get rave reviews on here!

as do H&R Coilovers...

personally i'd stick with standard dampers and fit uprated springs!

Prolines are better than sportlines. I've had both, wouldn't go back to sport's. Neither will be a patch on H&R's. If you can afford it go for H&R's, if not prolines on standard dampers.

As above TBH... Depends on your Budget tho.... Sub £200 then Eibach Prolines but won't Lower much AND if your thinking of Coilvers then H&R's which are about £600-£700 New iirc

H and R are the only ones I'd bother to recomend renault spend more on setting the car up then many other places have.

Ive heard on here, that Prolines for performane, sportlines to lower. Both seem to work well on standard dampers, but app they are awesome with Koni adjustables, although price wise, you might be into coilover territory, in which case, H&Rs are the way to go. But get them set up properly.

depends on budget and what u actually want from the car. yes springs will make a tiny bit of difference but GOOD coilovers will transform the car with a decent setup. H&R's are very highly rated on here due to the fact that they were the original decent ones made for the 182 and offer a very good upgrade from the originals. There are other options now tho if you wish to have some adjustment and beable to set the car up to how YOU want it according to what ur doin in or with the car.( on the track etc) Budget will probably answer the question tho :)

I'd have to agree. I changed to pro lines with standard dampers not long ago, and while they do feel rather good initially and seem to reduce body roll slightly, they don't really make a noticeable difference on track, tbh.

So, I'd say they're fine for the road, and if you have to change springs anyway, you might as well go for them. Otherwise, I wouldn't bother. Just wait a little longer and save up for a decent set of coilovers.
