Need cams install and mapping advice

Hi there,

Going to purchase a set of CAMs for my 172 very shortly. I'm in Australia, and have been looking at CAMs from one of the UK tuners.

Can you guys PM me a price for fast road CAMS delivered to Melbourne, Australia please?

My question is: My car has nearly 40,000 km, is it worth doing the timing belt? Accessory belt? I'm also going to get the inlet manifold matched.

I can get the original ECU remapped, what do you recommend? A stand alone ecu? Which one should I get? I have the option to purchase the euro1, but I think that might be overkill.... I don't think I will be doing anymore engine work after this mod.

Will a remap of the standard ECu be good enough?

just get the original ecu remaped

yes i would change the cambelt and the aux belt

I guess it's the smarter option though. Roughly how long should it take including cams? A whole days work?

cams in and out, cambelt swap and aux belt you can do in a day, but i don't know how skilled your mechanics are out there with renaults (its not the easiest job in the world)
