Need fault codes cleared, whats the best code reader?

Due to a decat, my engine light has come on. Not sure whether to just pay to have it taken off or buy my own code reader.

I have bought the blanking plug to remove the second sensor, so all being well it shouldn't come on again.

Can anyone recommend any readers for sensible money?

Id say it will still come back on after a while, but code readers to do that can be had off ebay for about £20 mate, iv got one and works fine for switching off lights and basic code reading

Is it just an obd2 I search for?
