Need help A.S.A.P on K-Tec Ramcharger!!





Does anyone have any idea on what the delivery times are like on the ramcharger from k-tec? I want to order one today but if its going to be weeks before i get it, ill try and find another style of I/K.

Anyone know please!!!!???

Just call them and ask whether its in stock. If it is you can be confident of getting it in about 3 days (ordered some springs last week - took 3 days!). If its not in stock its just down to you whether you can stand the wait.
 


might be somet to do with the way a ram charger works... and how it probably wont give you any increase on ur motor...

they are designed to force air in with the large scoop and as the air makes it way down to the small pipe going into the throttle body, it condenses the air down (i think..) forcing it into the throttle body hence giving better throttle response/power therefor more bhp...

but the way the above actually works means your car actually has to go like a min of 200mph for the theory to work if you get me...

Sorry for the sh*t explanation but ive forgotton the ins n outs of how a ram charger should work! im sure someone else could explain better.

The ramcharger is just an open I/K inside a heat sheild though.

The k-tec site says its "a high flow induction kit housed inside a carbon look shield."

According to them "The shield prevents the air filter from being exposed to hot air from the engine which means only cold air from the front of the car is drawn into the engine. The colder the air entering the engine the more power the engine produces."

Ive heard the theory your talking about on here before connor but i cant see where thats coming from to be honest. As far as i can see its a normal I/K inside a heat sheild, why wouldnt it work?

nah mate, dont exzxpect too much improvement, just wait till u hear the noise...then ull realise u spent ur ££ well!

Im not expecting a lot if anything to be honest even if its 1 or 2 brake then its more than i had innit. The main reason will be the sound anyway but then again that will probably be drowned out when i get the bike can fitted!!
