Need help choosing...

ok, ive got the new clio...so im going to keep the head unit and speakers...However i want to add 2 more speakers or maybe take 2 out and get 2 better ones...i also want a sub and amp in the boot, i want a good set of ICE but not OTT on price, im willing 2 spend 400 pound roughly on 2 speakers amp and sub...

Also wondering if its possible that i could get a new head unit and still get it wired up to the steering wheel like it is now because renault say i cant?

yes you can wire up remote to Kenwood, Sony, and Alpine stereos, Adapters available,

Sure when some more people see your post they will reply with better answers. definitely change your head unit, even with standard speakers that will give great improvement.

As noel said. Definately upgrade your headunit if you are planning on running a sub and a decent system. You will see a huge difference...everyone should have one one on their shopping list. To get the steering wheel controls to work you are best to go with an Alpine or Kenwood unit.

I would advise that you should get a set of components for the front, a 6 channel amp to run the sub, your fronts and the standard rear speakers...you dont really need to upgrade them with a sub.

If you amp the standard rears up and they sound terrible then you can then go for a set of cheapish coaxials for the rear to give the system a bit of decent rear fill.

Unfortunately you wont be able to do the whole lot within your budget if you go for an upgraded headunit but you can get some good quality equipment for the rest of the system for around £400.

Hope that helps

Yeh i no i wouldnt be able 2 get it all and the head unit mate...
Yeh it does help alot thanks very much...

One thing i didnt get was about the set of components?

Oh right. You probably wont be able to fit both behind the standard panel as theres not enought room but you could mount them next to it or higher up the door by drilling a hole in the doorcard. You might even be able to get away with not drilling if you dont want to damage your doorcards.
