Need help! Unsure about suspension kits!

  FF RB 182
Im looking for a suspension kit for my X plate clio 1.2 mk1 ph2 I think?lol Im only wanting to spend about 200quid on the kit, and am struggling to find a kit that my boyfriend and dad say is a good make and that will fit. Im only wanting to lower it around 30mm - 35mm. Did find some Bilstein streetlines but my boyfriend reckons that they will not fit? Heres the link.

Iv been told that 1.4 kits wont fit?

Can anyone help please?

You'll need ones specifically for the 1.2, I believe Eibach sportlines are the spring of choice and drop 30-35mm. Apex are cheaper and drop more IIRC - but the ride quality will suffer.

Edit - the Eibach Prolines will drop 30mm on a 1.2, the Sportlines will drop ~45mm on a 1.2

Eibach are good but duno if can afford them, would have to save more up!
But my dad had Apex on his Golf but hated them so wont let me have em lol.

So do none o those Bilsteins on that website fit mine?

The problem with the mk2ph1 1.2s is that nearly all of them have 52mm hub bolt hole spacing. Spax are the only ones I know of that do shocks that will fit. On my old one I had spax shocks and apex springs but I wouldnt recommend the apex springs. The car handled and looked well at first but after 18 months they sagged quite badly. Heres a pic of what they looked like after fitting:

Thats a mk2 ph1 :)

Just get springs if your only going 30-35mm ph1 or ph2 fit..its just if you uprate the shocks too, that the bolt holes are different on ph1 and ph2. but you wont need to for 30-35mm. anything more then its best to.

1.4 hubs bolt holes are bigger aint they. Me dad hated Spax on his Golf and they broke afta 18months. So he wont let me have them.

So iv basically got no choice of what I want them? lol.
