NEED HELP WITH PAINT!

I am painting my side strips and i have sanded them down, cleaned them and am now waiting for it to dry... I've done 3 coats of plastic primer and am now waiting for that to dry before i put the hi build primer on... how long should i leave the plastic primer to dry before i put on the hi build primer?

Most of them flash dry in 15 minutes these days. I painted my badge on the bonnet and my spoiler and they have held up fine mate.

What I did was

Primer - Wait 5 mins

Primer - Wait 5 mins

Primer - Wait 30 mins

Flat down with 1500 grit wet and dry (light pressure and plenty of water with a tad of washing up liquid in) until smooth

Paint - Wait 15 - 20 mins

Paint - Wait 15 - 20 mins

Paint - Wait 15 - 20 mins

Paint - Leave over night

Flat down with 1500 grit wet and dry (light pressure and plenty of water with a tad of washing up liquid in) until smooth

Lacquer - wait 10 - 15 mins


Lacquer - Leave over night

Havent had a problem yet

You never flat your base coat unless you going to put on anouther coat, this especially applys to metalics
